Adding a New Festival to GrassGigs

If your festival isn't already listed, you can submit it directly. Here's how:

Option 1: Submit via the Homepage

  1. Visit GrassGigs.com
  2. Click "Add Venue/Festival" in the navigation (or the bottom bar on mobile)
  3. Select "Festival" as the submission type
  4. Fill in your festival details:
    • Festival Name: The official name of your festival
    • Your Email: Where we'll send confirmation and login details
    • Venue/Location: Where the festival takes place
    • City and State: The festival location
    • Start and End Dates: When your festival runs
    • Website URL: Your official festival website (optional)
    • Description: A brief description of your festival (optional)
  5. Click "Submit"

After submission, you'll receive a verification email. Once verified, our team reviews the submission (typically 1-3 business days) and you'll receive a magic login link to manage your festival page.

Option 2: Let Bands Do the Work

GrassGigs automatically detects festivals when multiple bands list shows at the same venue on overlapping dates. If your performing artists have your festival on their tour pages, it may appear automatically. You can then claim the auto-detected listing.

Option 3: Contact Us Directly

Email support@grassgigs.com with your festival details and we'll get you set up. Include:

  • Festival name
  • Dates
  • Location (venue, city, state)
  • Website URL
  • Your name and role

Step-by-Step: Claiming Your Festival

Step 1: Find Your Festival

Locate your festival on GrassGigs:

  1. Visit the Festivals page
  2. Search for your festival by name
  3. Or browse the map — festivals appear as purple markers
  4. Click on your festival to view its page

Step 2: Submit a Claim Request

On your festival page, look for "Are you affiliated with this festival?" and click "Claim this page →". You'll need to provide:

  • Your Name: Full name of the person claiming
  • Email Address: Where we'll send verification and login emails
  • Your Relationship: Select Organizer, Promoter, or Staff

Step 3: Verify Your Email

Check your inbox for a verification email and click the link. This confirms you have access to the email account associated with the claim.

Step 4: Wait for Approval

Our team reviews claims within 1-3 business days. We verify that you have a legitimate connection to the festival.

Step 5: Access Your Dashboard

Once approved, you'll receive a magic login link via email. Click it to access your festival management dashboard. The link grants a 7-day session.

Need to log in again? Visit your festival page and click "Festival Organizer? Get your login link" to receive a new magic link.

Managing Your Festival

Updating Festival Details

From your dashboard, you can update:

  • Festival Name: Ensure it's displayed correctly
  • Dates: Set start and end dates for your festival
  • Venue & Location: Confirm the venue name, city, and state
  • Description: Tell fans what makes your festival special
  • Ticket URL: Link directly to your ticket sales page
  • Website: Your official festival website
  • Profile Image: Upload your festival logo or poster

Managing Your Lineup

The lineup is the heart of your festival page. You can:

  • Add Artists: Add bands to your lineup with their performance date and time
  • Mark Headliners: Highlight your headlining acts so they stand out
  • Set Performance Times: Assign specific days and times to each artist
  • Reorder Artists: Control the display order of your lineup
  • Remove Artists: Remove bands that have cancelled or been replaced

Festivals are automatically detected when multiple bands list shows at the same venue on overlapping dates. If your festival isn't showing up:

  • Ensure performing bands have your festival on their tour pages
  • Contact us at support@grassgigs.com and we can manually add it

The dates or venue are wrong

Claim your festival and update the details from your dashboard. Changes appear immediately.

My magic link isn't working

Magic links expire after 24 hours and can only be used once. Request a new one from your festival page.

I want to add a brand new festival

Use the "Submit a Venue or Festival" option on the homepage to submit your festival. Our team will review and add it.

Can I list a festival that hasn't happened yet?

Currently, each festival has one login link. Share it with your team, or contact us about multi-user access.

Your festival appears on the GrassGigs map as a purple marker, in the Festivals directory, and in search results. Fans can also discover it through individual band pages when artists list your festival on their tour dates.
