Venue images are stored in S3 with CloudFront CDN delivery. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Premium subscriptions are processed through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. When you upgrade to Premium, Stripe collects your payment information directly. We do not store your credit card details on our servers. Stripe's use of your data is governed by their privacy policy. We receive only your subscription status, customer ID, and transaction metadata from Stripe.

GrassGigs is a search engine for live bluegrass music events. We aggregate event information from band websites and display it on an interactive map and events list. We offer both free and premium subscription tiers for bands, and free venue accounts for venue owners. Users can submit community jams, suggest edits to events, and optionally enable location-based distance sorting to find events near them.
• Bands can register one account per email address
• Each account can register one band
• Band submissions require admin approval before events are automatically collected
• You are responsible for maintaining accurate band information and website URL
• We reserve the right to reject or remove any band submission
• Venues can claim their profile by submitting a claim request
• Venue claims require email verification and admin approval
• Approved venues receive a magic login link via email for passwordless access
• Venues can add events directly for any band performing at their location
• Venues are responsible for maintaining accurate venue information and event details
• We reserve the right to reject venue claims or remove venue access for policy violations
Registered users can submit recurring bluegrass jams, open mics, and jam sessions. By submitting a community jam, you confirm that:
• The jam information (venue, schedule, recurrence) is accurate and current
• You have knowledge that the jam is actively occurring
• Jam submissions are reviewed and approved by our team before appearing on the site
• Submissions are rate-limited to prevent abuse (3 per week per account)
• You will reconfirm or update your jam when prompted to keep listings current
• We reserve the right to remove jams that are reported as outdated or inaccurate

• Stripe's terms of service for payment processing
• You can manage or cancel your subscription through the Stripe customer portal accessible from your dashboard
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at our discretion
Premium bands have access to an analytics dashboard showing anonymous interaction data for their events. This includes views, ticket clicks, social media engagement, and geographic reach. By using premium features, you acknowledge that:
• Analytics data is collected anonymously from public event interactions
• Data is aggregated and cannot identify individual users
• Analytics data is retained for 90 days and then automatically deleted
• Insights are provided for informational purposes and may not be 100% accurate
• We reserve the right to modify analytics features and data collection methods
Event details are automatically scraped from registered band websites, manually submitted by bands, submitted as community jams, or added by verified venues. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy, but:
• Event information may be outdated or incorrect
• We are not responsible for event cancellations or changes
• Always verify event details with the venue or band before attending
• Bands and venues are responsible for the accuracy of manually submitted events
• Distance calculations are approximate and based on straight-line distances
Users can suggest edits to event information through the "Suggest an Edit" feature. By submitting a suggestion, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Suggestions are reviewed by our team and may or may not be applied. Providing an email address with your suggestion is optional and used only for follow-up if needed.
Claimed bands and verified venues can manually add events through their dashboard. Free tier bands can add up to 5 manual events, while premium bands have unlimited manual events. By submitting manual events, you confirm that:
• The event information is accurate and up-to-date
• You have the right to promote the event
• You will update or remove events if details change or the event is cancelled
• For venues: You have permission to add events for bands performing at your location
Users can subscribe to optional email newsletters featuring upcoming events in their selected locations. Newsletter subscriptions can be managed or cancelled at any time through the unsubscribe link in emails or by contacting support.
Our distance sorting feature allows you to find events near your location. By enabling this feature:
• You grant permission for your browser to access your device location
• Location data is used only in your browser to calculate distances to events
• Your location is not transmitted to our servers or stored
• You can disable this feature at any time by clicking the distance sorting button again
• Distance calculations are approximate and for reference only
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, provide false information, or abuse premium features. Premium subscriptions may be refunded on a pro-rata basis at our discretion. Venue access may be revoked for policy violations or inaccurate event submissions.
GrassGigs is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any damages arising from use of our service, including but not limited to missed events, incorrect information, or service interruptions.
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
